I was away for another week of holiday (the final one this year - sorry for not announcing it beforehand but I like to keep some privacy about when our home is left alone and when not ;-) ) and we were in an area of southern Germany in a small village that actually had almost no mobile access (some spots in Germany still seem to be very forlorn) and no Internet (which really was kind of annoying).
I used the reclusive atmosphere to work on the ADOM Lite RPG, create layouts, write stuff, etc. and am pretty happy with the progress.
Sadly I once more caught a bad cold in the mountains that right now is striking me down (got slight fever yesterday on our return trip) and I'm now employing all kinds of chemicals to get back up quickly. The priority right now is to
- recover my health quickly,
- sort out some final organizational issues with Lucas and Krys to no longer have them moving with less than full ower,
- process the final slew of mails that entered my mailbox during my leave (so if you sent comments regarding the pledge levels and received no response so far please be patient until I'm slightly more recovered - I'll immediately due the final round of processing),
- start posting ADOM updates with new content for all donors with Wanderer level benefits,
- continue writing the ADOM Lite RPG to get it finished ASAP (I target about 1-2 pages per day once I'm healthy again, so it should be done in something like 45 days... barring lectorate and final layout),
- start processing the "easier" pledge rewards.
Thanks and regards
Thomas
Did you ever get around to posting the final tally of all the additions that were funded? The big milestones are pretty obvious by I lost track of all the little extras that came from the various pledge drives etc.

DeleteUnless I'm missing something, that's just the milestone stuff. Where does it say about the number of new items/monsters/artifacts/boss characters/corruptions etc that added up over the campaign?
DeleteTrue, I would also like to know this. I was counting on my own during the campaign (I even posted the amount somewhere under previous post) but I don't know if I was correct. Some official summary of these small things would be nice.
DeleteThat's one of the things I still need to do. Without Internet access during the holiday I focussed on the "local" stuff so the big consolidated project plan still was not cross-checked. But I'll have my act together as soon as I can think straight once again ;-)
ReplyDeleteDamn, I need a ring of cold immunity or something like that :-(
Gotta stay lively with the spicy foods, be it curries or otherwise---never seen anything else work out as far as general practices go.
DeleteI'd also be curious to see an update as to what all the other team members have been up to in the interim as things get more and more squared away.
That sounds like an addable item. Make it a joke item... or make it resist sickness. Eat all the kobold you want! :P
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon and that really sucks that you have to pay out so much to the government. Hopefully it won't screw with anything too badly.
Regarding the mobile access: Yeah, no kidding. I live right in the middle of a dead zone. At least we got DSL internet a few years ago. :p
ReplyDeleteGet well soon Thomas. We have waited for years for this; an extra few weeks/months/whatever won't kill us - but it might kill you!
ReplyDeleteTake your time. Don't burn out. Marathon not a sprint.
ReplyDeleteI as well as my buddies were found to be viewing the good helpful hints on your web blog while before long came up with an awful suspicion I never thanked the website owner for them. Most of the guys became for that reason joyful to study them and have now absolutely been enjoying them. Thanks for turning out to be really accommodating and for settling on this sort of ideal issues millions of individuals are really desperate to discover. My very own honest apologies for not saying thanks to you earlier.
