Trolls everywhere...
While it was nice to see that the ADOM trolls truly are a meaningless minority (IMHO proven by the extraordinary support out there in favor of the campaign) it's sometimes also a kind of relief to see that others suffer from their particular ilk of trolls, too. Here's a great story about a kind of Raspberry Pi troll that Jochen pointed me to. Even if in this case it's more or less a money-grabbing troll. But I find the story hilarious and thus had to share it.

Mr. Biskup, I'd like a free copy of ADoM deluxe. I'll tell all my friends how great it is. Please send it.
ReplyDeletebtw I'm Jewish
Thanks!
Thanks for the post, it gave me a great idea to run my lma-3 data box off the pi for data logging. Now we just need an adom version ported to the pi.
ReplyDeleteActually Jochen already got ADOM running on Raspberry Pi :-)
DeleteNot only that, there is an official prerelease available on www.ancardia.com. :)
DeleteI have only one problem with the prerelease version, and that's the screen at the beginning which claims that the version is over its expected lifetime and you have to press a random key...
Deleteas far as I understood this screen is the reason why adom-sage doesn't work. sage expects ncurses (and thereby itself) to be initialized after that screen, but it isn't...
DeleteI'll have to put an adom tag somewhere on my race car now!
